Hello, my name is Myrel France and I am the Owner/Operator of Megan’s Place……….A scrapbookers Heaven.
My husband of 4 years, Brad and I live in Plano with our two children. Miss Megan who is 21 attends beyond high school at Collin County Community College and Mr. Michael who is almost 15 will be entering 9th grade next year at Williams High School. Our family has 2 dogs (Bailey a tiny little girl Yorkie and her not so tiny friend Chancey who is a lab mix) and one completely spoiled rotten Sun Conure parrot named Chuey.
As I am sure you have guessed by now, Megan’s Place was named after my beautiful daughter Megan. And just so we keep things fair……we have a room in Megan’s Place called “Michael’s Room”.
I am originally from Southern Louisiana and hence the “Southern Flair” to our menus. Texas has been my home since 1984 so by now most of the “Louisiana accent” is gone but sneaks a peak out every now and again.
My husband was born and raised a Texas boy. Brad was originally from Cooper a small town near Commerce but moved to Plano at a very early age.
Megan and Michael were both born in Plano and have attended school here since Kindergarten. Our family has lived in the same house in Plano since 1986 so I guess you could say that we are here to stay.
Brad and I are certified divers and love to spend time relaxing under water or on the beach in Cozumel. Megan and Michael sneak in for a trip to Cozumel now and then. They love to spend time on the beach or taking time out to swim with the dolphins whenever they get a chance.
Our family vacations are spent each year on the ski slopes of Colorado. I have always thought that I would have a Bed and Breakfast in the mountains some place………
Always, that is, until I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago! A few retreats and I was hooked and knew this was the best of both worlds. I could have that Bed & Breakfast that I so wanted to have AND be able to feed my scrapbooking habit at the same time
Dreams really do come true. And my dreams came true when we opened Megan’s Place on August 1st, 2007.
